Welcome to Shape Up Mississippi, where we are committed to improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities across our great state. Our mission is to create a healthier, more inclusive, and culturally rich environment that uplifts diverse voices and fosters positive change. Through a variety of initiatives, we provide the tools, knowledge, and support needed to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. Join us in our journey to make Mississippi a place where everyone can thrive.
Our Leadership
Led by Linda Fondren, Executive Director and a visionary community leader who has been instrumental in transforming the health landscape of Vicksburg. Shape Up Mississippi builds on her legacy of promoting wellness and community engagement. Linda’s dedication to improving public health earned Vicksburg the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Culture of Health Prize, recognizing the city’s efforts to foster a healthy environment for all its residents.
